England Tour of India: England Win 2nd ODI

The 2nd ODI between India and England was played at Nagpur earlier today.

Toss

India won the toss and chose to bat first.

India Innings

India got off to a slow but steady start. It was when Danielle Hazell claimed Devika Vaidya’s wicket that the batting order once again began to collapse. Smriti Mandhana, with a score of 42 off 57 balls, remained the highest scorer from the Indian side, followed by Deepti Sharma with 26 off 58 balls. The Indian side was bundled out for just 113 in 27.2 overs.

Danielle Hazell and Sophie Ecclestone both claimed 4 wickets each, restricting the hosts to one of their lowest totals.

England Innings

A strong opening partnership between Danielle Wyatt and Tammy Beaumont paved the way for a successful chase. Wyatt’s brilliant knock of 47 off 43 and Tammy Beaumont’s knock of 39 helped them chase 113 in 29 overs.
